The scholarship program encompasses the Imperial President’s Scholarships, Imperial CSC Scholarships, and the Department’s own scholarships, including the prestigious Shawki Saad PhD Scholarship.

Eligibility Requirement for the Shawki Saad Ph.D Scholarship

The Shawki Saad PhD Scholarship is a fully funded program designed to support students ordinarily resident in sub-Saharan Africa.

This initiative aims to reduce barriers and create opportunities for talented individuals from the region to pursue advanced studies at one of the world’s leading academic institutions.

Therefore, Candidates outside these regions are not eligible to receive the award.

  • Transcripts: Partial or complete transcripts of all undertaken or ongoing degrees.

Step 1. Find a PhD Supervisor: Visit the research and academic staff pages on the Imperial College website to identify potential topics of interest and suitable supervisors. Directly contact preferred supervisors to discuss potential projects and funding options.

Submit PhD Application for Admission: Applicants should submit their PhD applications for admission through the Registry online admissions systems by the specified deadlines for each scholarship round.
