Each year, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) presents Gender Grants to member universities to assist with programs that aim to enhance gender equity and equality within their campuses.
The funding can be utilized for various projects, workshops, and events in different areas, including:
- Empowering women in leadership positions
- Promoting awareness of sexual harassment and implementing anti-sexual harassment programs
- Backing women in science and research endeavors
- Establishing comprehensive institutional policies
- Integrating gender equality into the curriculum
The ACU has partnered with the Martha Farrell Foundation to offer three extra Gender Grants aimed at developing efficient anti-sexual harassment guidelines and tactics, leveraging the Foundation’s knowledge in anti-sexual harassment efforts. These grants are available to employees of ACU member universities in Africa and Asia and encompass online training as well as ongoing online assistance from the Martha Farrell Foundation.
Grant
- Thirteen grants of up to GBP 1,000 are available to support the expenses of coordinating initiatives that advocate for gender equity and equality.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility requires applicants to be employed at African and Asian ACU member colleges.
- These grants are available to individuals who are dedicated to promoting gender equity and equality within their institutions.
