UNESCO has launched its fifteenth call for applications to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD). The call is accessible to all, and projects will be chosen based on their potential to bring about tangible and enduring advantages for the advancement of the creative industries in developing countries that have ratified the 2005 Convention.
Proposals for projects should contribute to:
- Implementing and/or elaborating policies and measures having a direct, structural influence on the creation, production, distribution, and accessibility to various cultural goods and services. This aims to enhance the abilities of public institutions and civil society organizations to provide support to sustainable cultural industries and markets at the local and regional levels.
Grant
- Innovative projects with a duration of 12-24 months can receive funding of up to US $100,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Projects that qualify for the IFCD (International Fund for Cultural Diversity) include the following criteria:
- Projects that bring about significant changes by introducing or developing policies and measures that directly impact the creation, production, distribution, and accessibility of diverse cultural expressions, including cultural goods, services, and activities.
- Projects that enhance the capabilities of public sector and civil society organizations, in terms of both human resources and institutional capacity, to support sustainable cultural industries and markets at the local and regional levels in developing countries.
Eligible Applicants that can apply for the IFCD include:
- Public authorities and institutions from eligible countries (developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention).
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) hailing from eligible countries (developing countries that have ratified the 2005 Convention).
- International non-governmental organizations (INGOs) that are registered in countries that have ratified the 2005 Convention.
How To Apply
The fifteenth call’s application process will start on April 15, 2024, at noon Paris time and will end on June 14, 2024.
- To apply for the project, you need to complete the Project Framework, fill out the online application form, and upload all the needed documents.
- After completing the application process, you need to select, date, sign, and click on the “SUBMIT” button to finalize your application.
