The Arqus European University Alliance is pleased to announce the third call for Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund 2024 application for eligible Master’s students. The scholarship is established to attract and retain talent at the postgraduate level from around the world.

Talented graduates and students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree at one of the Arqus partner universities; Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius, or Wroclaw, along with a mandatory mobility at a second Arqus partner university, are being sought after by the Arqus European University.

A minimum of eight (8) Argus Talent Scholarships will be awarded during this third call.

Details About Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund

Eligible students who want to pursue master’s degrees at one of the partner universities mentioned above, encouraged to apply for this award. However, candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree and been accepted into one of the aforementioned universities for master’s study. Scholars will take part in required mobility at a second Arqus partner university in addition to their Normal Studies at their home university.

Students from all around the world are welcome to apply, regardless of where they were born. Students who completed their Master’s degree from a university other than an Argus European University Alliance partner university will be given preference, and refugees and asylum seekers are especially encouraged to apply.

Benefits of the Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund

The Argus Talent Scholarship Fund covers the following for the selected candidates:

  • Provision of a subsistence allowance of up to 1,400 € per month, to cover the recipient’s living costs, medical insurance and a materials allowance.
  • The scholarship will also cover the tuition fee at the student’s entrance to university.
  • Recipients may also be eligible for a special needs fund worth 250 € per month.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the requirements below in order to apply for the scholarships:

  • Candidates need to have submitted an application to one of the partner universities of Arqus for a Master’s programme. (Refer to the list above)
  • It is required that applicants have attained a minimum ECTS overall/average grade of B.
  • Doctoral candidates in their first year at the Universities of Wroclaw and Vilnius are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must explain in detail in their motivation statement how mobility at a second Arqus university can be incorporated into their course of study.
  • Applicants must speak one of the Alliance’s languages with a level of skill of at least B2.

How to Apply

Qualified Candidates should submit their applications via the online application portal given below. A complete application must be attached with the following documents.

  • An application confirmation to the entrance university for a Master’s programme at one of the Arqus universities
  • Motivation statement stating the student’s passion and reasons to apply for the scholarships.
  • Bachelor’s diplomas and degree certificates from previous studies.
  • Transcript of transcript of records/diploma supplement of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from your previous studies.
  • A signed letter of recommendation from an academic professor from your Bachelor’s programme.
  • A recent Curriculum Vitae (CV) showing practical experiences and extra-curricular activities.
  • A Passport copy
  • Evidence of Language proficiency equivalent to at least a level B
