Association of Commonwealth Universities Early Career Conference Grants 2024

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is now accepting applications for the Early Career Conference Grants 2024. The purpose of this grant is to support emerging researchers and their affiliated universities by facilitating their participation in in-person conferences held in Commonwealth countries.

If you are an emerging academic, participating in this conference will be an invaluable experience for you, because it will greatly impact your teaching and research endeavors. As a successful applicant, you will receive up to GBP 2,000, which you can use for:

  • Conference registration fees
  • Airfare
  • Accommodation
  • Visa expenses
  • Travel and health insurance

Eligibility criteria 

As an applicant, you must:

  • Be early career researchers or academics affiliated with an ACU member university.
  • Have started their academic (research/teaching) careers within the last 7 years, excluding those who have taken career breaks. Career breaks include periods away from employment for personal or professional reasons, such as childcare responsibilities.
  • Select a conference scheduled to take place in a Commonwealth country between August 2024 and February 2025.
