Sponsored by the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), the NSIA Prize for Innovation (NPI) aims to foster innovation in Nigeria’s digital ecosystem and support indigenous solutions capable of driving socio-economic development.

The NPI is crafted to incentivize and nurture creativity within the digital ecosystem, providing funding for early-stage, growth-driven solutions. Its ultimate goal is to catalyze transformative economic growth, enhance the nation’s productive capacity, and generate employment opportunities.

Prizes

  • Ten (10) finalists will be awarded various prizes. The top three (3) winners will receive a combination of cash and equity to fuel their startups. They will secure funds in a 75:25 equity and cash ratio, in exchange for a stake in their company determined through valuation.
  • The top ten (10) finalists will participate in a fully funded, 5-week training program at a prestigious US university in Silicon Valley. They will also have the opportunity to pitch to angel investors and gain global exposure.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to startups offering ground-breaking, tech-enabled solutions in any industry.
  • Priority sectors for the program include Financial Services, Agriculture, Health, Education, Manufacturing, Logistics & E-mobility, E-commerce & Marketplaces, and Climate. However, applicants from other sectors are encouraged to apply as well.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is March 3, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
