The prestigious Allard Photography Competition, held twice a year, honors outstanding photography that reflects the fundamental values of the Allard Prize. Participants are urged to submit their entries at any time during the year.

The submission should capture subjects related to bravery and leadership in the fight against corruption, with a particular emphasis on promoting openness, responsibility, legal principles, and human rights, as well as confronting corruption and human rights abuses in developed countries.


  • Every exceptional winning photo will receive a prize of CAD 1,000 and will be prominently featured on the Allard Prize website.
  • The photo, along with a brief description and the photographer’s name, will be displayed on the website for six months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This competition is for individuals who have reached the age of majority in their country of residence at the time of entry.
  • Members of the Allard Prize photography competition jury and the Allard Prize Advisory Board. Are not allowed to participate while serving on these panels, and for one year after their terms end.

Required Documents

  • You can submit files in the following formats: jpg, png, jpeg. The maximum file size is 512 MB and you can submit up to 4 files.
  • For horizontal images, the width should be at least 1180 pixels, and for vertical images, the height should be at least 740 pixels. Image files should not have any borders, including white or black framing.

Submission Process

The winners are selected once a year, shortly after the submission deadline. The winning photographs are showcased on the Allard Photography Competition galleries page and receive promotion on different social media platforms to gain attention.
