- Venture Development Stipend: In recognition of their commitment and impact, select Western Union Foundation Fellows will receive a venture development stipend of up to $36,000. This financial support will ensure the sustainability of fellows’ ventures.
Requirements for Participation
To be eligible for the Western Union Foundation Fellowship Program;
- Prospective Candidates must be an entrepreneurs or community leaders currently working with, highly marginalized, refugee, and forcibly displaced communities globally.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a growth mindset, and a passion for driving positive change in your community.
- Ideal candidates are in the Problem-Solution Fit or Product-Market Fit phases of their ventures, with demonstrated outcomes in both impact and revenue.
- Participants must commit to the 16-week program, including a 2-week virtual immersive experience. Active participation is crucial for the program’s success, as it relies on the engagement and enthusiasm of all participants to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration.

Preference will be given to applicants from Uganda, Colombia, Mexico, Pakistan, and the United States.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should follow these steps to apply for the Western Union Foundation Fellowship Program:

- Allow approximately 45 minutes to fill out the application thoroughly.
- Qualified applicants will undergo a review process by the Admissions Committee, with a focus on leadership qualities and venture innovation.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 20-minute one-on-one Zoom interview to further assess their suitability for the program.
- Final selections will be made by the external Admissions Committee. With notifications of acceptance sent out during the week of July 1st, 2024.
- Upon acceptance, fellows must confirm their enrollment to secure their spot in the program and participate in a “Meet the Cohort Webinar” event leading up to the program’s commencement on August 8th, 2024.

- The Western Union Foundation Fellowship Program will run from August 8th, 2024, to November 19th, 2024, comprising 16 weeks of programming.
