UNESCO-Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships – Details
About Thirty (30) UNESCO fellowships are being made available to developing Member States by the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering at the AGH University of Krakow (Poland) to support human resource capacities in developing countries and to foster international understanding and friendship among nations and peoples.
The recipients of these fellowships will have the chance to work on a private research project in the fields of science, technology, and engineering for six months, starting on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025.
Benefits of UNESCO-Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships
Participants in the UNESCO Poland Fellowship Program can benefit from a range of financial provisions, including:
- Monthly Stipend: Participants will receive a generous monthly stipend amounting to 2200 PLN. This allowance, equivalent to approximately $550 USD, is intended to cover essential living expenses such as accommodation, meals, and pocket money.
- Special Arrival Allowance: Upon arrival in Poland, participants will receive a one-time special allowance of $120 USD, to help them settle comfortably into their new environment.
- Airfare Tickets: UNESCO will cover the cost of round-trip airfare travel tickets to and from participants’ home countries.
- Health Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance coverage will be provided to all participants.
- Cultural, Historical, and Touristic Visits: In addition to academic pursuits, participants will have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Poland through organized visits to historical sites, museums, and other cultural attractions.
