The Pierre Castel Prize For Green Entrepreneurs 2024 (Up to €25,000 in Prizes)

The 7th edition of the Pierre Castel Prize is being organized by the Pierre Castel Fund and its partners, including Castel El Djazaïr, Brakina, Boissons du Cameroun, Solibra, Star, and Bracongo SA. The prize program will run from March 1st to July 10th, 2024, and targets six African countries which are; Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Pierre Castel Prize

The 2024 Pierre Castel Prize will recognize and reward a total of 36 entrepreneurs, with 6 entrepreneurs being selected from each participating country. The grants provided through this competition are designed to support the growth of the chosen companies and enhance their impact within the value chains.

Also, these awards aim to foster the development of entrepreneurial skills, facilitate knowledge-sharing, and encourage the creation of pan-African collaborations and synergies.

Awards

  • 1st place winners: €15,000 cash prize, sponsorship, and a coaching program.
  • 2nd place winners: €10,000 cash prize and a coaching program.
  • Finalists will receive access to accredited entrepreneurship e-learning courses offered by the Geneva International Trade Center (ITC), along with the opportunity to participate in the Young Hopes Prize for sustainable agriculture and food.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are an agricultural entrepreneur;
  • You are between 18 and 45 years old;
  • You must be a citizen of one of the countries mentioned in this edition and currently live there;
  • Your business is registered and has been operating for a minimum of one year;
  • Your project must demonstrate tangible positive effects on the social, economic, and environmental aspects of your community.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the 2024 Pierre Castel Prize for Green Entrepreneurs, you must provide the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Presentation file
  • Resume
  • Copy of your identity document (passport is recommended)
  • Operating account or Accounting balance sheet for the 2023 financial year.
  • Legal documentation confirming the existence and legitimacy of your business.
