Tesla’s upgraded and refreshed 2024 model 3 is now available in the US. The now refreshed ‘Highland’ Model 3 sports a fine-tuned front end for improved aerodynamics but however lists a lower top speed.

An updated version of the Model 3 sedan of Tesla that was released in markets across Europe, the Middle East, as well as China just last fall is now available in North America. Reportedly dubbed “Highland” while it was still in development, it introduces a couple of noticeable tweaks to the mainstream electric sedan of Tesla.

The new 2024 Model 3 refresh as you should know is now the only one that is listed for ordering in Tesla’s configurator, and as buyers reportedly saw in other markets, there are only two versions available instead of the normal three which are a Longe Range AWD model with dual motors or the cheaper Rear-Wheel Drive version. And for the time being, at least, there is no longer an option on the platform to order the former top-of-the-line Performance model.
The 2024 Long Range Tesla Model 3 as you should know advertises an EPA estimated range of up to 341 miles, which is not up from the 333 miles of its predecessor, while the rear wheel model on the other hand is still very much listed at 272 miles.
What You Should Know About the Two Car Versions
Both versions as you should know have the same starting price as the cars of the previous year, but there is however one more change. The specs that are listed on Tesla’s site list the top speed for both versions of the new 2024 Model 3 as 125 mph, while the 2023 rear-wheel model in question topped out at 140, the Long Range on the other hand went up to 145, and the Performance model in question could only manage up to 162 mph.
The Upgraded Touted By Tesla
The said upgrades touted by Tesla for the new model are new acoustic glass around an overall quieter cabin, improved quality of ride with an updated suspension tuning which may as well be key, more sophisticated materials for the interior of the car, ventilated seats, a better and much brighter center touchscreen with smaller bezels and better contrast, customizable ambient lighting, plus an upgraded and better sound system with close to if not 17 speakers.
