PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival

The program is a collaborative effort between the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

By encouraging and recognizing the creativity of young people’s submissions, PLURAL+ aims to empower them to become agents of change in a world often marred by divisions based on intolerance and cultural or religious differences.

Benefits

  • Recipients of International Jury Distinctions and Special Recognitions are given a fully funded trip to the PLURAL+ Ceremony. The ceremony is usually held in New York, but the venue may change.
  • The invitation covers travel and accommodation expenses for one person per video. If a video is submitted by a group, only one person will be invited and their expenses will be covered. Other group members can attend the ceremony at their own expense. For participants under 18, an adult chaperone’s travel and accommodation costs will also be covered.
  • PLURAL+ recipients of Partner Recognitions must cover their own expenses to attend the ceremony.
  • The ceremony is attended by a diverse global audience, including United Nations employees, media professionals, civil society representatives, and academics.
  • PLURAL+ recipients gain international exposure and the opportunity to network with professionals, peers, and organizations. They can explore further distribution and dissemination opportunities for their work. Partner recognitions may offer different benefits.
  • Filmmakers receiving recognition from PLURAL+ or PLURAL+ Partners will receive digital certificates.
  • Shortlisted videos that didn’t receive any distinctions will receive a digital certificate of participation.
