The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) stands at the forefront of empowering eligible African entrepreneurs through its Off-Grid Energy Challenge 2024.
Established by the U.S. Congress, this independent U.S. Government agency (USADF), is calling for proposals that promise to reshape the energy sector in underserved communities across Africa.

USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge 2024 – Overview
The 2024 USADF Off-Grid Energy Challenge aims to catalyze projects that will enhance the lives and livelihoods of those in underserved communities in Africa. The challenge is thus a catalyst for positive change.
One of the key attractions of this challenge is the opportunity for winning applicants (enterprises) to secure grant capital of up to $250,000. This will propel innovative ideas into impactful realities.

- In addition to the grant capital awarded, successful enterprises will gain access to intensive local technical assistance and governance support.

- For entrepreneurs eyeing this opportunity, being majority African-owned and -managed is a non-negotiable criterion. This implies that the solutions provided must come from within, and be rooted in the understanding of local nuances.

- Cote d’Ivoire
- DR Congo (South Kivu)
- Kenya
