The SDGs Advocate Programme is a focused 4-month training and advocacy initiative designed for young Nigerians.
This intensive program includes over 20 lectures, original readings, and comprehensive assessments to help aspiring leaders and change-makers deepen their understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Aim of the Program
The primary objective of the programme is to cultivate a community of outstanding young leaders dedicated to championing SDGs advocacy throughout Nigeria. It provides an opportunity for youths aged 18-35 to become advocates for the SDGs, supporting initiatives across all 36 states in Nigeria. The program encourages active youth participation, fostering lasting positive change in their communities and contributing to global goals.
The SDGs Advocate Programme is on a mission to create a world where every primary and secondary school student, household, or community group is equipped with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to effectively address the significant challenges of this century and contribute to a sustainable and prosperous world.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18-35.
- Ability to commit at least 4 hours per week throughout the program.
- Availability for virtual training sessions.
- Interest in becoming a development and transformation agent.
- Applicants do not necessarily need prior knowledge of the SDGs 2030.
