In 2020, the SystemSpecs Annual Essay Competition (CDEC) was launched to demonstrate the organization’s CSR commitment to facilitating capacity development for the ICT industry in Nigeria. By doing so, they are inspiring young Nigerians to tackle everyday problems.

The SystemSpecs Children’s Day Essay Competition aims to raise awareness about online safety among primary and secondary school children in Nigeria. This year, the theme is “Protecting the Nigerian Child from the Dangers of Online Technology.”

  • Essays should be written in English, with a maximum word count of 1,000 words for the Junior category (ages 9-12) and 1,500 words for the Senior category (ages 13-16).
  • Submissions must be original and endorsed by an accredited school official, parent, or legal guardian.
