Applications are currently open for the L’Oréal UNESCO Fellowships for Women in Science 2024. These fellowships, established through a collaboration between L’Oréal Turkey and the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, aim to promote and support women researchers in Turkey who are pursuing their careers in the life and environmental sciences.

Paid L'Oréal UNESCO Fellowships for Women in Science

Every year, the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science programs assist over 250 promising young women researchers. Through 52 regional and national programs, the Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO offer crucial support to these researchers during their thesis or post-doctoral studies.

Award Details

  • The fellowship award is set at 200,000 Turkish Lira per recipient.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible:

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral or postdoctoral degree and be under 40 years old as of January 1, 2024.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Turkey.
  • The project duration should not exceed one year.
  • Projects must fall under the categories of life and physical sciences.
  • Projects must be carried out in Turkey.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Scientific validity
  • Innovativeness
  • Contribution to science
