Categories for UNUBIKO Tertiary Education Scholarship

The 2024 UNUBIKO Tertiary Education Scholarship Awards will encompass three distinct categories in other to accommodate students pursuing higher education across various academic disciplines. These include:

  1. University Category: All undergraduate students enrolled in state and federal-owned universities. This is an opportunity for exceptional students to excel in their chosen fields of study.
  2. Polytechnic Category: The Polytechnic Category is for students enrolled in state and federal-owned polytechnic institutions.
  3. College of Education Category: The College of Education Category offers opportunities for aspiring teachers and educational practitioners to access quality higher education and training.

Eligibility Criteria for UNUBIKO Tertiary Education Scholarship

To be considered for the UNUBIKO Tertiary Education Scholarship Program, applicants must fulfill the conditions below:

  • Academic Excellence: Candidates must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 for the University Category, 3.5 for the Polytechnic Category, and 4.0 for the College of Education Category.
  • Educational Background: Must Possess a minimum of six O-level credits, including English language and Mathematics, obtained in a single sitting.
  • Residency: Full-time enrollment in state or federal-owned tertiary institutions within Abia State for Abia State indigenes, or residency within Abia State for non-Abians.

  • Gather all necessary documents, including a passport photograph, school ID card, admission letter, birth certificate, O’ Level result, JAMB result, Local Full-time degree students of Abia State Origin in any of the State/Federal owned institutions across Nigeria OR Non-Abians residing in Abia State as students, Area letter of identification, and signed school verification form.
