Applications are now being accepted for the Africa Business Concept Challenge 2024. GBSN is excited to announce the 4th annual Africa Business Concept Challenge (ABCC), a virtual competition designed for African undergraduate and graduate students.
Africa Business Concept Challenge 2024
This challenge tasks student teams with crafting a viable business concept aimed at addressing locally relevant challenges or problems aligned with Agenda 2063 and inclusive, sustainable development goals.
The Africa Business Concept Challenge seeks to support young entrepreneurs from Africa who are committed to serving their communities and embodying the outlined values.
To emphasize responsible business practices, the competition aims to identify promising young talents for mentorship and potential investment.

Eligibility requirements
- Open to all educational institutions across Africa
- Student teams must comprise two to five members, with at least two enrolled at an African institution during the competition. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
- Each team must have a mentor to provide guidance and enhance the learning experience. The ABCC aims to foster a supportive learning community beyond just competition.
- GBSN Membership is not required, and participation is free.
All projects must address:
- A community challenge or need
- A business solution
- A viable business concept
- Implementation and impact of the proposed business solution
