Named after the renowned Norwegian explorer and humanitarian Fridtjof Nansen, the UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award seeks to exemplify Nansen’s values of resilience and commitment in challenging circumstances through its recipients.

  • The global laureate for 2024 will be presented with a commemorative medal and a monetary prize of US$100,000, intended for reinvestment in the humanitarian initiatives that earned them recognition.
