The United Nations Refugees Agency is inviting young individuals from around the world to participate in the Youth with Refugees Art Contest 2023, with the theme “Hope away from home”. The theme of this year’s art contest is “Hope away from home,” which aims to illustrate the power of inclusion for refugees. In collaboration with UNIQLO, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) calls upon individuals between the ages of 10 and 30 to submit their drawings, with selected designs being transformed into t-shirts and sold to support displaced people globally.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the creativity and effectiveness of the message conveyed through each drawing. The decision of the jury will be final, leaving no room for appeals, ensuring fairness in the selection process.
Application Process for the UNHCR Youth with Refugees Art Contest 2023?
- To apply for the contest, interested participants can visit the United Nations Human Rights website at https://quiz.typeform.com
- Artwork can be created either by hand or digitally on a computer or tablet. Hand-drawn art should be scanned or photographed at high quality, with acceptable formats being pdf, jpeg, and png.
- Photos submitted should be 2048×2048px with a resolution of 350dpi.
Submission Deadline
The deadline for submission is September 30, 2023. However, early submissions as encouraged to enable the organizers to plan to showcase selected artworks regularly on their social media platforms.
