Eligibility Requirements
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements below will be considered for the University of Essex Sussex Graduate Scholarship. These include:
- Candidates who graduated from Sussex in 2024 with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree.
- Acceptance of an offer of a place on an eligible master’s program, whether full-time or part-time, commencing in September 2024.
- Graduates from bachelor’s programs at the Sussex Artificial Intelligence Institute, Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJSU), who have attained a First or Upper Second Class degree, are also eligible for the Sussex Graduate Scholarship.
- Fulfillment of any conditions stipulated in the university offer is mandatory.
- Applicants must possess adequate funds to cover academic and living expenses.
- Recipients may be invited by the University to contribute to promotional activities, up to a maximum of 40 hours per year.
Who Isn’t Eligible?
Candidates are advised to note the criteria that render applicants ineligible for this prestigious scholarship. They include:
- Applicants intending to pursue a Masters at a university other than the University of Sussex.
- Progression into the final year of an integrated Masters program at Sussex.
- Alumni of partner institutions of the University of Sussex, including BIMM or ISC.
- Students who have studied at a UK University’s overseas campus or external program.
- Recipients of other University of Sussex scholarships, such as the Sussex India Scholarship.
- Candidates enrolling in excluded courses, including Certificates and Diplomas, courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), and online courses, among others.
