University College London is now accepting applications for the Global Masters Scholarship 2024/2025. This scholarship is designed to support international students from lower-income backgrounds in pursuing full-time Master’s degree studies at UCL.
In the academic year 2024/25, there are a total of 85 scholarships available, including five specifically allocated for students from India. The scholarship is valid for one year, except for full-time programs extending to two years, in which case it covers 50% of each year.
UCL Global Masters Scholarship 2024/2025
The UCL Global Masters Scholarship can be combined with other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries. The value of the UCL award may be adjusted based on the total funds received by the student from other sources.
Recipients of the scholarship are required to promptly inform the UCL Student Funding Office of any additional funding received for their UCL Master’s degree studies, whether obtained before or after the UCL Global Masters Scholarship is granted.
The scholarship will be applied first to the recipient’s tuition fees, with any remaining amount disbursed in three equal installments throughout the academic year to support living expenses.
Benefits
The scholarship is valued at £15,000.
Eligibility
Candidates from any country outside the UK can apply, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate.
- Come from a lower-income background.
- Have submitted a complete admission application, including references, for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL in 2024/25.
Note: Distance-learning options are ineligible; applicants must be physically present in the UK to attend UCL.
Selection
The scholarship is awarded based on financial need, following the recommendation of the Student Funding Office.

Results
Successful candidates for the academic year 2024/25 will be notified by late June 2024.
