The University of Padua Excellence Scholarship 2024 is open to highly talented international students across the globe. The university is offering over 50 scholarship positions for students looking to pursue an eligible Bachelor’s or Master’s degree entirely taught in English at Padua.
The University of Padua was founded in 1222, it holds a unique place in the academic field of Italy. The university was said to have originated from a group of scholars at the University of Bologna and proudly stands as the second-oldest university in Italy and the world’s fifth-oldest surviving university.
University of Padua Excellence Scholarship
The University of Padua Excellence scholarship program has a strict selection process, as scholarships will only be awarded to applicants with the best records in school and academics. It will be expected of successful scholars to represent the university at various occasions and to take on an ambassadorial role.
The scholarship has a maximum duration of two (2) years for Master’s degree candidates and three (3) years for Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle degree candidates.
Benefits of University of Padua Excellence Scholarship
Scholarship amount: €8,000 (gross amount) and a fee waiver for each school year.
The sole annual payment required of benefit students is an entry fee equal to the regional tax plus marca da bollo.

Eligibility Requirements for University of Padua Excellence Scholarship
Candidates who meet the requirements below may be considered for the selection procedure, under threat of exclusion:
- Applicants must not be Italian citizens (unless they are dual citizens with Italian citizenship);
- Possess a non-Italian foreign secondary school diploma that permits entry to the Italian university system (for candidates seeking bachelor’s or single-cycle degrees) or;
- A non-Italian bachelor’s degree (for applicants seeking master’s degrees);
- Apply to one or more of the aforementioned degree programs offered by the University of Padua that are entirely taught in English even if they do not currently reside in Italy.
- Applicants are eligible to apply to three-degree programs.
How to Apply
Applicants who fulfil the above-stated requirements will be automatically considered for the selection procedure.
The University of Padua Excellence does not require a separate application or additional specific documents to be submitted besides those required to apply for the selected degree programme

Selection Criteria:
The Academic Committee of every degree program selects a shortlist of qualified applicants and grants scholarships to the most worthy candidates based on their prior learning records, quality, and academic performance in their field of study.
Selection outcomes: The Academic Committees may, under extraordinary circumstances, choose to offer the scholarship to qualified applicants from the second application period. Scholarships are only available to candidates who apply during the first application period.
