Delta Electricity Scholarship Details

This scholarship is sponsored by Delta Electricity and was established to recognize a commitment to higher education. Since 2007, Delta Electricity has supported undergraduate students who study or live in the Central Coast LGA financially by giving scholarships at the University of Newcastle.

The 2024/2025 academic calendar of the Delta Electricity Scholarship at the University of Newcastle, Australia, will be awarded to one (1) Successfully Selected Candidate, with up to $5,000 awards.

The Delta Electricity Scholarship 2024 at the University of Newcastle, Australia,  provides a maximum financial award of  $5000 paid as a lump sum after the semester one census date.

Eligibility for Delta Electricity Scholarship 2024

To be considered for a Scholarship at the University of Newcastle, Australia, Candidates must the requirements below:

  • The projective Candidate must be currently enrolled in an eligible program for this scholarship, the program includes (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Bachelor of Business)

  • Candidate must be a resident of the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA) and/or study on the Central Coast.
  • He or she must show academic achievement either by an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of 95 or higher for commencing students, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.0 for continuing students.
  • The Applicant must be a citizen of Australia or have an Australian Permanent Resident (includes New Zealand Permanent Residents).
  • The applicant must not hold another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

How to Apply

Required Documentation

  • The list of required documents can be found on the application’s “Your Documents” The application portal only takes PDF files. Each document type upload field may have a maximum of three PDF files that are less than 5 MB.
  • A personal essay (approx. 1 A4 page) detailing the student’s academic achievements, career objectives in the relevant area of study, and how this scholarship might aid him/her. This declaration will apply to every scholarship application they make.
  • Three (3) documents that highlight Candidate’s accomplishments in the classroom, such as their portfolio or resume, their involvement in enrichment and travel programs, internships, academic competitions or challenges, prizes and acknowledgements, etc.

Selection

  • The evaluation of the Delta Electricity scholarship application and any necessary accompanying materials will serve as the basis for the competitive selection process.
  • Interviews with applicants may be conducted by the Selection Committee.
  • Shortlisted candidates who are enrolled at the University of Newcastle’s Central Coast Campus (in the B Environmental Science and B Business programs) may be given preference.
