Responsible Entrepreneurs Competition 2024 – Details
The Société Générale/Women in Africa (WIA) Responsible Entrepreneurs Competition 2024 is a collaborative effort between Société Générale and WIA Philanthropy, aimed at promoting and supporting female entrepreneurship across Africa.
This year, the focus is on Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and Senegal, with the objective of fostering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and empowering women-led businesses in these regions.
What to Expect
- Training: Selected participants will undergo intensive online training sessions for six months, from June to December 2024. These training modules, developed in collaboration with WIA Philanthropy, will cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, equipping participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to drive the growth and sustainability of their businesses.
- Networking Opportunities: Through Société Générale’s extensive network, participants will have access to valuable networking opportunities at the national, pan-African, and international levels. This will facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the establishment of meaningful connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, ultimately fostering a culture of inclusivity and sustainability.
- Mentoring and Visibility: A personalized mentoring program will be established to provide participants with guidance and support from experienced professionals in their respective fields. Additionally, a communications plan will be implemented to amplify the successes and initiatives of the participants through various WIA media channels, including the official website and social media platforms.
Requirements to participate in the Responsible Entrepreneurs Competition
To be eligible to participate in the Société Générale/Women in Africa (WIA) Responsible Entrepreneurs Competition 2024, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Business Operations: Applicants must have founded and operated a business in one of the target countries (Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, or Senegal) for at least one year.
- CSR Integration: Applicants must have implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program within their company, demonstrating tangible positive results.
