Through a structured approach encompassing capacity building, access to capital, and advisory support services, the initiative aims to catalyze sustainable business growth and foster a culture of entrepreneurship among women in Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria for MTN Yellopreneur Initiative
To participate in the MTN Yellopreneur Initiative, prospective Candidates must:
- Be Nigerian Female Entrepreneurs with a strong commitment to self-employment.
- Have been running an existing business for a minimum of two years in sectors such as circular economy, manufacturing, processing, agriculture, ICT/digital services, or waste management.
- Demonstrate a focus on sourcing raw materials locally.
Benefits of the MTN Yellopreneur Initiative
The benefits of Participating in the MTN Yellopreneur Initiative Include:
- Capacity Building: Access to entrepreneurial skills training to enhance business acumen and management capabilities.
- Access to Capital: Eligibility for loans and grants, with equipment loans of up to N2 Million disbursed during the pilot phase in 2022.
- Advisory Support Services: Ongoing guidance and mentorship to ensure long-term business sustainability and success.
Application
The application process for the MTN Yellopreneur Initiative (phase 2) involves the following activities:
- Entrepreneurial skills training for 1000 female entrepreneurs
- Development and Presentation of Bankable Business plan
- Equipment loan support of up to 3 million naira is given to each of the 250 female entrepreneurs for investment and business expansion.
- Business advisory support services
- Seamless Loan Repayment Processes: Transparent and efficient loan repayment processes are implemented to ensure project sustainability and the continuity of support for future participants.
