Applications for the African German Young Leaders in Business (AGYLE) Programme 2024, are currently being accepted. The AGYLE initiative is a prestigious platform that brings together aspiring young leaders from Africa and Germany to foster long-term business networking and collaboration.

African German Young Leaders in Business (AGYLE) Programme

This fully funded program offers a remarkable opportunity for participants to engage in direct encounter and partnership-based exchange, aimed at promoting innovative ideas and projects in the realms of circular economy and sustainable economic cooperation.

Programme Overview

The African German Young Leaders in Business (AGYLE) Programme is organized by the Agency for Business & Economic Development (AWE) in collaboration with Germany, Land of Ideas. AWE is an establishment of the  Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), it receives support from GIZ and DEG IImpulse

The theme for the 2024 edition of AGYLE is “Circular Economy – How Young Leaders are Shaping the Transformation.” This theme demonstrates the program’s commitment to addressing contemporary global challenges through innovative solutions.

Requirements

To be eligible for the AGYLE Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a young leader aged up to 40 years old.
  • Come from the fields of business, politics, or media.
  • Demonstrate involvement in innovative solutions within the circular economy domain.
  • Hail from Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia, or Germany.
  • Show willingness to actively engage in the Young Leaders Alumni network.

Timeline

The application period for the AGYLE Programme is open from 27th February to 7th April 2024.

The jury meeting and selection of AGYLE Young Leaders are scheduled to take place in May 2024.

The AGYLE Live Week in Berlin is set to occur from the 23rd to the 27th of September 2024.
