Mozida Africa Excellence Scholarship Categories
The Africa Excellence Scholarship will be divided into two categories:
Academic Excellence Award:
For academically stellar African students, the Academic Excellence Award recognizes outstanding achievements. An evaluation includes scrutiny of academic backgrounds, graduating class performance, and commendations from previous educators.
Communal Impact Award:
The Communal Impact Award acknowledges African students who, despite facing hardships such as childbearing, loss of a parent, or national unrest, have evolved into transformative community leaders. Evidentiary support, either pictorial or documentary, substantiates their commendable contributions.
Benefits of the Mozida Africa Excellence Scholarship
- Fully-Funded Support: The Mozida Africa Excellence scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for each recipient.
- Monthly Allowance: Recipient students receive a generous monthly allowance of $1600, contingent upon maintaining the required CGPA.
- Accommodation: Shared same-sex accommodation is provided, a supportive environment for both singles (two per room) and married couples (one per room).
- Travel Assistance: Recipients benefit from a one-way economy flight to Bolivia, along with a return flight ticket.
- Health Coverage: There will be a 60% coverage of national health insurance, including annual medical check-ups, which safeguards the well-being of scholarship recipients.
- Research Opportunities: Master’s students engaged in research projects receive a $1000 research assistantship.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of one of the 54 African countries.
- Hold a recognized university bachelor’s degree from any field.
- Submit an online application by the deadline of 11:59 PM (GMT), April 30, 2024.
- Enroll in an eligible master’s coursework degree program at a Bolivian university.
- Not be a current recipient of another Bolivian University scholarship.
- Commit to meeting financial obligations if scholarship eligibility is not maintained.
Selection Criteria
- Scholarship offers are based solely on academic merit and communal impact. Academic merit is determined according to the University’s GPA procedures.
- Successful applicants receive notification of the scholarship’s value with their Letter of Offer.
- There is no language preference or restriction hence, French, Arabic and English speakers are highly encouraged to apply
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
