The Adam Smith Fellowship, a collaborative initiative of the Mercatus Center and Liberty Fund, Inc., is granted to doctoral students enrolled in Ph.D. programs at any university and in any field, such as economics, philosophy, political science, and sociology.
These fellowships are designed to expose students to and encourage them to critically analyze influential figures in political economy that they may not typically encounter during their graduate studies.
Consequently, Adam Smith Fellows participate in workshops and seminars on the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy throughout three weekends during the academic year and one week during the summer.
