The Elinor Ostrom Fellowship, provided by the Mercatus Center, is a competitive one-year fellowship open to PhD students from all universities and academic fields, such as economics, philosophy, political science, and sociology, among others.
This fellowship aims to introduce students to the concepts of markets, culture, morality, and social interactions within the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy and to equip them with the necessary skills to apply this framework in academic research related to these concepts.
Elinor Ostrom Fellows participate in three weekend colloquia throughout the academic year focusing on these three schools of political economy.
