Applications for the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grants 2024 are now open until the 25th of January 2024, at 16:00 UTC. The ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grants are awarded to member universities to support initiatives addressing climate resilience.
The ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grant is an annual award open to academic and professional staff. The grant is awarded to provide support to the cost of organizing projects that promote either of the two main strategic priorities of the Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network (CCRN).
Concepts for utilizing the grant
The following project focus areas are among the many initiatives, workshops, and events that can be funded with the grants:
- Enhancing professional practice, instruction, and learning for climate change adaptation, such as through virtual communication or collaboration cooperation, sharing, and joint creation of educational resources
- Building research management and uptake ability, understanding and recording indigenous knowledge and resilience practices, virtual fellowships or collaboration, comparative analyses, and other strategies to increase the research capacity of CCRN members in climate change adaption
- Enhancing the practices and policies for institutional resilience that Commonwealth universities have implemented, such as creating resources, methods, and training to help higher education institutions plan for contingency and continuity of operations
Grant
The ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grants consist of four (4) grants of up to GBP 2,500 each
Eligibility
- Applicants must be staff members at an ACU member university.
- Applications from ACU members that collaborate with non-member universities will also be taken into consideration.
- Applications for grants that permit matching or additional funding from the applicant’s institution will be given preference.
