With funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants a fellowship named in his honor to German researchers with above-average qualifications across all career levels and disciplines. Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship: What to Expect

The Humboldt Foundation anticipates that academic hosts will contribute to the fellowship’s funding. Their share should be roughly one-third of the total fellowship amount.

Eligibility Requirements for Qualification

  • Postdocs: The prospective Candidate must have obtained a doctorate within the last four years or within six months of completion, with publications in internationally reviewed academic journals and houses.
  • Experienced Researchers: Applicants who are experienced Researchers, are required to have a doctorate completed within the last twelve years, an extensive publication record in internationally reviewed academic journals, as well as evidence of an independent academic profile.
