Health Wildcatters was established in 2013 to fill the need for a health innovation hub within the expanding healthcare industry of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Since its inception, Health Wildcatters has nurtured a portfolio of 109 startups, collectively raising over $250 million in funding.
Health Wildcatters Accelerator Program 2024
Alongside providing a seed investment, Health Wildcatters offers valuable perks and access to a vast network of mentors spanning the healthcare industry, professional services, and other sectors.
To summarize, the accelerator program accepts 8 to 12 startups each year, who participate in a ten-week program running from September to November. In addition to receiving investments from the organizers, the startups also enjoy various in-kind perks.
Benefits
- Each spot in the program comes with a $30,000 cash investment and a program that is valued at over $200,000. In exchange, the program acquires eight percent equity and offers additional opportunities for follow-on investments and convertible notes, potentially reaching a total cash investment of up to $380,000, alongside the program’s value.
- The Health Wildcatters accelerator has an extensive mentor network consisting of over 200 individuals from various sectors, including healthcare, professional services, and other industries. Throughout the program, startups are connected with these mentors who provide guidance, support, and access to their networks, accelerating the growth of their businesses.
Eligibility Criteria
- The program is available for healthcare entrepreneurs, and only U.S. based startups are eligible to apply.
- All program activities are mandatory for applicants.
Application Process
The fall program, which lasts for 12 weeks from September to November, offers a blend of in-person and virtual participation options. It starts on September 4, 2024, and concludes with the Program Pitch Day in November 2024.
