The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program for the academic year 2024-2025 is now accepting applications. This fully funded program invites international secondary-level educators to the United States for a comprehensive six-week professional learning opportunity at a host university.

Program Highlights

  • Academic Seminars: Participants engage in academic seminars at a host university, covering topics such as new teaching methodologies, student-centered learning, instructional technology, and content-based instruction.
  • Classroom Experience: Attendees have the opportunity to observe and co-teach in U.S. classrooms, fostering collaboration with educators and students at the host university and local secondary schools.
  • Civic and Cultural Activities: Participants actively participate in civic and cultural activities in their host communities, promoting mutual understanding.
  • Field Experience: A minimum of 40 hours of field experience is completed with a U.S. partner educator in a local secondary school, offering practical insights into American teaching practices.
  • Cohort Options: Applicants can choose the general program or apply for a cohort focused on gender, media literacy, or climate education.

Eligibility

  • Open to educators in all disciplines, including English as a foreign language, foreign languages, journalism, communications, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), social studies, special education, and others at institutions serving primarily a local population.
  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, and demonstrate proficiency in English.
  • Participants must have the ability to travel to the United States for six weeks.
