Apply for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Talent Promotion Program 2024. Since 1973, the Talent Promotion program of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom has been a dedicated supporter of liberal scholarships in Germany.
The foundation aims to identify and empower talented university students, encouraging them to take on responsibilities in politics, economy, science, and society, utilizing their free spirits to drive positive change.
Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Talent Promotion Program
University scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree, or undertaking the state examination at German colleges, universities of applied sciences, or universities. Both Germans and foreign students (EU) are eligible to apply for a scholarship for their first semester.
Postgraduate scholarships are available for German and foreign doctoral candidates, while foreign students (non-EU) can apply for scholarships for their master’s as well as PhD programs.
Eligibility Requirements
- You are eligible if you are a top-notch student at a college or university, possess the courage to be a free thinker, and are actively involved socially. The scholarships are open to both German and foreign university students and doctoral candidates studying in any field.

- Capabilities and Talent: The foundation seeks applicants with good to very good performance in specialty areas and multidisciplinary interests.
- Personality: Crucial facets include dedication, motivation, decisiveness, readiness to take on responsibility, and a commitment to promoting a free society.
- Liberal or Social Commitment: Involvement in various areas such as student councils, university committees, liberal political parties, youth organizations, ecclesiastic or social institutions, human rights organizations, cultural activities, environmental protection, sports, family, or neighborhood help groups.
Application process
Complete the application form and submit it along with your CV and two references. Doctoral candidates should include a summary of their planned research.
