The Emerging Board Leaders Fellowship is meticulously crafted to enhance the skills and expedite the progress of candidates on the brink of board readiness, requiring that one final catalyst.
By providing support to these socially and environmentally conscious leaders, and equipping them with effective directorship skills, the program aims to position them to champion the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda within the organizations and communities they serve.
Additionally, the program is committed to gender equity, collaborating with the 30% Club to design a fellowship that is inclusive rather than exclusive to one gender.
Benefits
- Fellows will acquire essential fiduciary, risk, and governance skills, along with mentorship to qualify as competitive and effective board directors. The program also offers exposure and access to networks for board placement. In response to the current global humanitarian and economic crisis, the program will integrate additional dimensions related to the responsiveness of leadership and upper management.
Eligibility
- Individuals of Arab or North African origin, regardless of nationality.
- Age between 28-45 years in 2024.
- Commitment to the duration of the program.
- C-Level experience, founder of a small/medium organization, or senior official at a small/medium non-corporate institution (e.g., government and nonprofit).
- Minimum of 10 years of recognized achievements, leadership, and outstanding professional work experience.
- Expertise in Financial Literacy, Corporate Law, Human Resources, Audit/Risk, or critical areas related to our changing world (e.g., cybersecurity, Big Data, AI, ESG, etc.).
- Strategic, critical thinker with future foresight.
- Proven ability to lead and influence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with high emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated personal commitment to societal and environmental impact, active in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Desire for personal and career growth throughout and beyond the program duration.
