The One Million Leaders Africa (OMLA) 2024 Fellowship program application process is presently ongoing. This exemplifies the goal of OMLA, which is to empower one million African leaders by 2030. These leaders will transform Africa for the coming generations by building a network of long-term social enterprises.
Applications from prospective candidates are being accepted from November 20, 2023, to January 20, 2024. In the 2023 edition of the OMLA Bootcamp, which took place earlier, 100 young Africans from farming areas were chosen from 17 secondary schools in Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria, for this life-changing program.
OMLA Fellowship Program 2024 – Overview
Young exceptional talents in Africa that were successfully shortlisted for an OMLA Fellowship, are annually recruited by OMLA. They undergo a two-month program that covers topics including social entrepreneurship, sustainability, leadership, and social innovation.
Each fellow supervises and trains fifty (50) other young people (called Stars) who want to start humanitarian projects in their areas after completing their training. Subsequently, the Stars are expected to instruct other youth (Starlets).
Meanwhile, fellows, Stars and Starlets, during the fellowship, will oversee community projects. They will subsequently become part of One Million Leaders Africa’s support network, and OMLA Alumni group.
Benefits:
- A monthly stipend of $50 will be awarded to each fellow to cover the cost of the internet and other expenses related to training OMLA Stars.
- Fellows will also receive training in entrepreneurship, social innovation, sustainability, and leadership.
- A $500 professional development grant will also be given to fellows following successful completion of the fellowship.
- A network of mentors and change-makers will be joined by fellows.
- Execute community-impacting projects.
Who Can Join?
OMLA seeks leaders who are devoted to the world they wish to create and who represent the ideals of the community.
