The AgriTech Challenge Pro seeks to harness the power of technology and innovation. The program serves as a catalyst, not only enhancing productivity and improving yields but also creating employment opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), is dedicated to raising awareness of agricultural opportunities and the associated entrepreneurial benefits for the youth. Their projects provide support to individuals at every stage of their growth, from high school students to medium-scale business owners.
Benefits of Participating in the KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro
Winning startups stand a chance to secure up to $50,000 in seed funding (grant).
The winners of the AgriTech Challenge Pro will be announced at the conclusion of the program, following the Classic. This marks the culmination of efforts and innovation showcased throughout the challenge.
The program also includes benefits such as coaching and business review sessions organized by KIC partners, mainly universities involved in the Pro.
Eligibility Criteria for KIC AgriTech Challenge Pro
To qualify for the AgriTech Challenge Pro 2023-24, Candidates must meet the conditions below:
- Participants must be actively developing an innovative or commercial business solution.
- A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) demonstration is essential for participation
- Teams should consist of no more than four founders with clear roles and responsibilities.

- The 2023 Pro training will predominantly be virtual and conducted on Zoom.

When was the Kosmos Innovation Center established?
The Kosmos Innovation Center was founded in March 2016 as Kosmos Energy’s Corporate Social Investment Program, later becoming an independent Foundation.
Would the training be virtual or physical?
The training would mostly be virtual, with some exceptions for orientation and pitch periods. Various coaching and business review sessions will be organized by KIC partners.
Who is hosting the Pro program, and where would the training be held?
The 2023-24 Pro trainings would mostly be virtual, organized on Zoom. The physical training sessions will take place in Accra, hosted by the KIC.
Who would be running the training?
