Through immersive convenings held across the globe, fellows gain invaluable insights, forge meaningful connections, and collaborate on innovative solutions to pressing health challenges.

Program Requirements:

  • Aspiring fellows should be early to mid-career professionals actively engaged in health-related work, eager to enhance their leadership skills and drive positive change within their communities.
  • The program entails a one-year commitment, including in-person convenings and online coursework facilitated by esteemed AFHE faculty members.
  • In-Person Convenings: Throughout the fellowship year, fellows participate in a series of immersive convenings held in diverse locations worldwide. These gatherings serve as incubators for learning, collaboration, and collective action, providing a platform for sharing insights, best practices, and innovative strategies for advancing health equity.
  • Online Curriculum: In addition to in-person convenings, fellows engage in a robust online curriculum designed to deepen their understanding of health equity principles and enhance their leadership capabilities. Through interactive sessions and self-directed learning activities, participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to drive meaningful change within their spheres of influence.
  • Self-Directed Learning: Fellows are encouraged to pursue self-directed learning opportunities, including program readings, videos, and assignments tailored to their individual interests and goals. These activities enable participants to reflect on their experiences, explore new ideas, and develop innovative solutions to address health inequities in their communities.

Fellows do not receive a stipend for their participation. However, all educational experiences and travel expenses associated with the program, including in-person convenings, are fully funded by the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity.
