The cost of using Google’s Duet AI for your business certainly won’t be cheap after reports of the price. Google Workspace has just revealed just how much it will cost businesses to use its Duet AI, and it is quite pricey.
The Cost of Google’s Duet AI
Google since May this very year has been drip-feeding customers various snippets of generative AI tools, but right now, the company has finally revealed to users just how much businesses can expect to shell out in order to provide their employees with products of the so-called Duet AI.
The tech company just confirmed at its Google Next 23 conference that it would start to charge $30 per every user per month in addition to the existing workspace subscription. Duet AI as you should know has quickly become known as the alternative of the office software provider to the copilot of Microsoft, which in question has also been rolling out across a host of its own products slowly and quietly.
Google confirmed that over one million users and customers have already tested out its Duet AI tools, thus adding that: “We have released this add-on in response to strong customer demand and will continue to enhance and expand.”
How Google Duet Works
The tool makes use of generative AI to help users create new content as well as also edit existing work across most of the apps that we have come to know and love, and this is including Docs and Slides. The technology on the other hand is also embedded into Gmail in order to help workers to easily craft more succinct emails, more quickly.
The tools in question are not just limited to text, either. The multimodal model as you should know supports things such as image generation and can even have its uses in the video conferencing software of the company known as Meet.
While work already has been done to begin making Duet AI accessible between all of Google’s apps, the company also has plans to make it even more powerful so that workers can easily pull in data from various locations across their Google Drive in a bid to summarize and even create presentations in a move that is very likely to save a huge amount of time for many workers.
The Cost of Duet AI in Google Workspace
And while there is no doubt that Duet AI in Google Workspace can be pricey, it is very much precisely on par with its main competition, which is Microsoft 365 Copilot for those that don’t know, which in turn has also been confirmed to cost $30 per user per month.
