The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) and the Association of British Neurologists (ABN) are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the WFN Visiting Fellow Program 2024. This program, in collaboration with the Department of Neurology at Cairo University, offers a unique one-year fellowship position for a newly trained African Neurologist.
The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) was founded in Brussels in 1957, it has since evolved into a global force with 124 member societies and six regional organizations. The WFN is partnering with the World Health Organization (WHO), to promote brain health worldwide. The Association of British Neurologists (ABN), a proud member society, actively contributes to this mission.
WFN Visiting Fellow Program – Project Description
The WFN Visiting Fellow Program is a one-year General Neurology fellowship at Cairo University, Egypt. The primary goal of this program is to enrich neurological training across the African continent, fostering collaboration and building connections.
Please note that all training activities of the Visiting Fellow Program will be conducted in English for effective communication.

Eligibility Criteria for WFN Visiting Fellow Program 2024
To be considered eligible for the WFN Visiting Fellow Program 2024, Applicants must meet the requirements below:
- Must be residents of low or lower-middle-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Candidates must be born after December 31st, 1981
- Must have recently completed their neurology training.
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite for consideration
