Thomas Wall Trust Grant Programme – Details

The roots of the Thomas Wall Trust go deep into history, with Thomas Wall laying its foundation through a deed poll in 1920. The trust’s aims and objectives were outlined in a High Court of Justice Scheme dated December 15, 1936. Since then, the trust has been unwavering in its dedication to supporting individuals experiencing multiple deprivation, with a particular focus on women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, and refugees.

The Thomas Wall Trust recognizes the pivotal role of communication skills in transforming employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and overall life chances. The trust acknowledges that effective communication is underpinned by a set of key features and skills, including empathy, listening, emotional intelligence, confidence, and clarity.

Priorities of the Grant Programme

  1. Match Funded Projects: The Thomas Wall Trust places a premium on projects that exhibit match funding, viewing them as catalysts for sustained impact.
  2. Self-Sustainable Projects: A unique aspect of the grant program is its emphasis on self-sustainability. Proposals that demonstrate a clear path to becoming less reliant on grants in the future are given precedence.
