Samsung’s inexpensive Tab A9 Plus is currently on sale in the US. This device is one of the very few budget Android tablets out there that is offered with 5G in addition to the $219 Wi-Fi-only version.
Samsung’s Tab A9 Plus is on Sale in the US
Just in case you didn’t notice, Samsung has just put its budget Galaxy Tab A9 Plus quietly on sale following the launch of the device in October of the previous year. The product kicks things off at $219 for a Wi-Fi-only version, but just unlike many other Android tablets in the market around that very price bracket, you can get a version with 5G.
The A9 Plus version with a cellular connection sets users and shoppers back $269, and they can also take their selection from Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and US cellular versions directly from Samsung.com. The tablet going on sale was first seen by 9to5Google.
Specs and features of the A9 Plus tablet
The A9 Plus as you should offers users an 11-inch screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, which is a really rare feature at this price and most definitely something that you will not find on an entry-level iPad. The device has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and also comes with a 7,040mAh battery. The Wi-Fi version comes with either 4GB RAM / 64GB storage or 8GB RAM / 128GB of storage; the 5G version is just offered in the 4GB / 64GB configuration.
Price and Availability
For well under $300, that is a pretty attractive deal on paper, but the A-series tablet as you should know misses out on a couple of notable features such as the S Pen stylus compatibility and an IP rating for water and dust resistance. You will also have to step up to the Tab S9 series, which kicks things off at $449, if it I that you want either of those things.
Color Options
There is however one more thing that the A-series is missing, too and that is color. The A9 Plus in question is only available in a very straight-laced navy, graphite, or silver. If it is that you are on the lookout for mint or lavender, well, you’ll have to pay up more.
