Applications are open for the Internet Society Early Career Fellowship 2024! This unique fellowship program grants access to distinguished experts, such as Professor Dr. Laura DeNardis from American University and eminent scholars affiliated with the Oxford Internet Institute.
The fellowship equips participants with project management, advocacy, and diplomacy skills, laying the groundwork for them to become future Internet champions.
Annually, a cohort of 15 fellows is selected for the 5-month program, offering a comprehensive experience through seminars, events, courses, discussions, and hands-on project work.
Fellows will benefit from networking, mentoring, and collaboration opportunities, culminating in a final project presentation at a closing symposium.

Eligibility Criteria
- Early career professionals in the Internet ecosystem (technical, policy, economic, or social roles) with less than ten years of experience.
- Hold an undergraduate/vocational degree or possess at least three years of work experience in an Internet-related field.
- Propose an innovative and impactful project for Internet growth/strengthening.
- Reliable broadband Internet connection and necessary devices.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
Application Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Commit a minimum of six hours per week for coursework, seminars, individual project work, and other program activities.
- Complete the mandatory 5-month program.
- Attend all required seminars or sessions, managing time zone differences.
