Goethe-Institut Cameroon and LIA-Leipzig International Art Programme

The Spinnerei Leipzig, a converted cotton mill turned cultural center, is home to the Leipzig International Art Initiative (LIA), an international artist-in-residence initiative. LIA aims to be a site of experimentation and education in a city full of traditions and a vibrant local art scene.

Programme Overview

Artists from different countries and locales influence one another through sharing cultural experiences and changing perceptions. In a statement by the founder and director of the Leipzig International Art initiative (Anna-Louise Rolland), she said that the organization believes that moving beyond its comfort zone leads to new perspectives opening up.
