Rev Tony Akinyemi Scholarship Foundation (rTSF) – Overview

Without any input from Reverend Tony Akinyemi, friends of the clergyman originally started the Reverend Tony Akinyemi Scholarship Foundation (rTSF). It was inspired by reverence and honour for the guy who persevered in overcoming adversity and poverty to achieve academic greatness and get two degrees; one in science and one in the arts.

Tony was there himself, so he knows the anguish and insecurity of a bright child whose father cannot afford to take them to school. Tony hails from a very humble background. The rTSF concentrates the majority of its efforts on interventions and individual educational support since they firmly think that education is a key instrument that may alter Africa’s current economic situation.
