This prestigious competition features categories dedicated to addressing significant global challenges in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union Agenda.
These categories encompass green-tech, health-tech, mobility and logistics, agri-tech, fintech, and women in tech.
Additionally, a special Youth Startup category has been introduced, specifically targeting entrants under the age of 26, recognizing Africa as the world’s youngest continent, with 60% of its population under 25 years old.
The competition offers winners an exciting journey through national and regional levels, culminating in the GSA Africa Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The summit, spanning a week, serves as a platform for delegates to network and showcase their innovations. Notable attendees include ambassadors, foreign investors, corporate leaders, and government officials.
Mentorship Opportunities with Regional and Global Stakeholders
Winners of the competition will gain access to the Global Innovation Initiative Group Africa fund and the Global Startup Awards Alumni Network, providing invaluable networking and mentorship opportunities with regional and global stakeholders.
