The East Asian Seas Congress Youth Forum form is out. The forum’s goal is to unite young leaders from the East Asian Seas region, fostering a greater comprehension of the marine environment and the effects of climate change. Participants will share their knowledge and experiences in marine conservation and the sustainable utilization of ocean resources.
Also, the event aims to encourage youth involvement in developing innovative solutions for ocean and climate-related challenges. This forum is scheduled to be held from April 15th to April 19th, 2024, at the Korea National Ocean Science Museum in Uljin, Republic of Korea.

Eligibility and Criteria
- Individuals who hold citizenship in any of the following East Asian Seas countries: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Viet Nam
- Age requirement: between 21 and 35 years old
- Possess a minimum of one year of exposure or experience in marine science, marine conservation, or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership skills or potential, including the ability to network and influence others in the field of marine conservation and related areas
- Willingness to utilize social media platforms to share and promote important messages regarding marine conservation.
- Proficient in communicating in English.
- A passport that is valid and has at least six months left before expiration.
- Must be physically fit or medically cleared for travel to the Republic of Korea within a one-week timeframe.
