The Diversity on Board Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program 2024 application form is out. Diversity On Board is excited to introduce the third Emerging Board Leaders Fellowship (EBLF) board accelerator, in partnership with HSBC. The Emerging Board Leaders Fellowship aims to enhance the abilities and fast-track the advancement of individuals who are nearly ready for board positions and require a final catalyst.
They are committed to empowering these socially and environmentally conscious leaders with the skills necessary for effective directorship, to drive forward the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda within the organizations and communities they serve. Also, they are dedicated to gender equity and have collaborated with the 30% Club to develop a fellowship that promotes inclusivity across genders, rather than focusing solely on one gender.
Benefit
Fellows will acquire the essential financial, risk management, and governance skills, as well as receive support and mentorship to become competitive and capable board directors. They will also have opportunities for exposure and access to networks that can assist in securing board placements. The program will also incorporate additional aspects of leadership and senior management responsiveness in light of the ongoing global humanitarian and economic crisis.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program, applicants must:
- Be of Arab or North African origin, both women and men (holding any nationality, including that of non-Arab countries).
- Be between the age of 28 and 45 years during 2024.
- Be capable of committing for the duration of the program.
- Have C-Level experience, or a founder of a small/medium organization, or senior official at a small/medium non-corporate institution (e.g. government and nonprofit).
- Have at least 10 years of acknowledged accomplishments, leadership, and exceptional professional work experience.
- Possess expertise and capabilities in Financial Literacy, Corporate Law, Human Resources, Audit/Risk; or insignificant areas relevant to our evolving environment (e.g. Cyber Security, Big Data, AI, ESG, etc.).Be a Highly strategic, critical thinker demonstrating future foresight.
- Have a track record of successful leadership and effective influence.
- Have Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High levels of emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrate dedication to serving society and the environment, and actively contribute to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Have a desire for personal and career growth throughout and beyond the duration of the program.
