Siemens Stiftung has collaborated with Capital Solutions Limited to launch a project titled Women Income Generation Opportunities Initiative (WIGOI).
This initiative aims to offer custom-tailored comprehensive educational solutions to young women (aged 18-30) in semi-urban and rural areas, enabling them to enhance their income and career prospects.
This program focuses on active participation, providing capacity building, coaching, and mentorship through in-person site visits, personal and business profiling on various social media platforms, networking opportunities via the Social Entrepreneurship forum, and access to small financial support through the Social Investment Fund.
In this invitation for applications, we are seeking 100 young women from semi-urban and rural areas, including marginalized individuals such as refugees and persons with disabilities, to embark on a life-changing journey involving vocational and career development opportunities.
- Personal needs assessment,
- Capacity building
- Career guidance/mentoring
- Mid-term evaluation
- And graduation/post-training coaching.
Eligibility Criteria
They are particularly interested in applicants with a focus on climate change, renewable energy, health, education, and agriculture. Our entry criteria are as follows:
- Experience using digital tools.
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
- Access to the internet at least once every two weeks via computer or smartphone.
- A willingness to attend regular in-person sessions.
